American Idol: The king is dead (and probably rolling over in his grave)

Oh Adam Lambert, how I would have given anything for you to jump onto the stage at any point in tonight's show (after Crystal) to jazz things up a bit. (Season 9 needs you, Adam!!!)
He hit the nail on the head when he dubbed this season "sleepy" (to put it nicely). While Beatles' night proved to be the great equalizer for the contestants, the Elvis theme brought everyone back down to Earth. Last week's glimmers of good must have been a mirage.

American Idol: The great equalizer

» Read similar stories filed under:

Where have these contestants been the last few weeks? Are these even the same contestants that we watched butcher a host of R&B classics just seven days ago? Could it really be the magic of the Lennon-McCartney catalog that finally gave this season some forward momentum?

After being on the verge of abandoning American Idol all together, the numbing nine finally pulled their collective heads from their... well you know where and gave us a show we could watch and enjoy.

A Great Years Start

It has been a great year’s start for Minnesota’s Beyond the Veil.

During the winter we have been on some interesting cases. One such case will be in our upcoming book, “Spirited Minnesota”, called The Ghosts and Mrs. S. The ghosts are very fond of Mrs. S and her family. They even made her aware of a potential disaster and there for she was able to prevent it from happening.

American Idol: Worst season ever?

» Read similar stories filed under:

One of the elements I've loved about past seasons of American Idol is when a contestant introduces us to a song from his or her cache of personal favorites, one that has maybe existed on the fringes rather than on Top 40 radio - Taylor Hicks with Ray LaMontagne's "Trouble," Jason Castro with Jeff Buckley's "Hallelujah" or Adam Lambert with Gary Jules' "Mad World." What this season has been missing most is contestants with that confidence to bring us a song that speaks to them.
