A Great Years Start

It has been a great year’s start for Minnesota’s Beyond the Veil.

During the winter we have been on some interesting cases. One such case will be in our upcoming book, “Spirited Minnesota”, called The Ghosts and Mrs. S. The ghosts are very fond of Mrs. S and her family. They even made her aware of a potential disaster and there for she was able to prevent it from happening.

We also were at a location outside of St. Peter’s. I walked into a child’s bedroom and stood there quietly for a few minutes. All of a sudden, one of the child’s toys in the toy box, started up. I didn’t think much of it because I thought that perhaps when I walked in the room the vibrations may have moved the toy a little and started it playing. After it was retrieved from the toy box, and examined, we found out that in order to start the toy a part of it had to be lifted up. We set it on the floor and knocked it around a little to see if it would start and it didn’t. So we left it on the floor, in the middle of the room. I left the room convinced that it had to have been the vibrations that started the toy up. Everyone left the room, some stood watching the toy by the door way, I was looking around deciding where to set up my camera, when the toy started up again. No one was in the room, no one was by it.

We had a case in Jordan. As I was standing in the basement peering into another room deciding if I should enter the room, I saw someone walk up besides me. Thinking that it was one of the members who were there, I turned around and no one was there. Another time, one of my members was in the basement and the bathroom door swung opened widely on its own. There are no windows in that room to cause a draft. We plan to return soon to gather more evidence.

One of the members of the group was pleasantly surprised during the last class at the Peacock Inn. As she was by the servants’ staircase she saw a lady climbing up the stairs only to disappear before she got to the top of the stairs. Others have seen a shadowy figure walking the second floor that day.

As a bonus for my students who have taken the classes, I am taking them on some extra outings this year. I am planning on several field trips to haunted locations, through the year where the students will get a chance to try their hand at ghost hunting. We had an outing last weekend, and the students who were able to attend really enjoyed themselves and some got some very interesting photos and evp’s. They want to return, so I plan to schedule another outing there in a few months.

I have a few pending cases that will be coming up and a few projects I plan on doing. So far it looks as though this year may be quite interesting indeed!
