Smokey Bear and McGruff the Crime Dog keep an eye on the masses on Thursday during Safety Camp in Firemen's Park, sponsored by the Chaska Police Department. The two-day camp attracted over 100 third- and fourth-graders, who met with the Minnesota State Patrol, lifeguards, Chaska firefighters, EMTs and a multitude of other safety groups.

The University of Minnesota Raptor Center presentation was part of the Summer Reading Program’s “Make a Splash at Your Library.” The show also featured a Red-Tailed Hawk, an American Kestrel, and a Great Horned Owl.
