Carver County Attorney Jim Keeler today announced the conviction of Anthony Joseph Aunan, 38, for the October 23, 2007 death of his girlfriend in Chaska, Minnesota.
Aunan, a former heroin addict, was enrolled in a methadone treatment program. Methadone is a powerful synthetic narcotic used therapeutically to quell cravings for heroin.
Brody (Bermel) Roehlke will not be tried as an adult. According to a press release issued by the Carver County Attorney's Office, Judge Kevin Eide denied the prosecution's motion to certify Roehlke as an adult.
