Today he suffers from arthritis as a result of that break. “I wish I would have had one of these then,” he said of his taser. Minnesota State Patrol closed a section of Highway 212 this morning after a fatal crash at Mount Hope Road where an SUV driver reportedly struck and killed a pedestrian. Updated: Flagger struck, killed on Hwy 212May 15, 2008 - 9:27am — Mollee FranciscoMinnesota State Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred this morning on Highway 212 at Mount Hope Road near Carver. The incident occurred just before 7 a.m. when an SUV driver westbound on Highway 212 struck and killed a flagger. According to the State Patrol, the flagger was holding a stop sign at the time of the crash. Traffic was diverted for three hours following the incident. Highway 212 was closed from new Co. Rd. 147 north to Co. Rd. 43 until 10 a.m. when Minnesota State Patrol wrapped up their site investigation.
