According to the Carver County Attorney's Office, the Grant Everson sentencing date has been scheduled for 8:30 a.m., Friday, January 12.

A Chaska High School teacher has been arrested and charged with third-degree sexual misconduct.

Principal Paul McMahan sent a letter to parents of CHS students Wednesday informing them that the Chaska Police Department had arrested 28-year-old Julia Lund.

When Nancy Everson was shot to death in her Chaska residence last January, Linnea Stromberg-Wise and her husband, Jim, were already four and half months into a year-long trip around the eastern half of the United States in their 32-foot power boat. They had little knowledge of the gruesome murder that had occurred a half-mile from their home.
