Judge Mary Theisen advised jurors in the Craigslist murder trial that they could expect to start deliberations sometime mid-week.
Michael John Anderson, 20, of Savage, is facing first- and second-degree murder charges in the death of Katherine Ann Olson, 24, of Cottage Grove. He is accused of placing a Craigslist Web ad for a babysitter, posing as a woman named Amy to lure Olson to his parents’ home in downtown Savage and killing her by shooting her in the back.

The routine of the Craigslist murder trial was interrupted Tuesday morning when a member of the victim’s family held up a picture of her while the jury was reading e-mails and attorneys were conferring with the judge at her desk.
Rolf Olson held up one of four pictures of his daughter, Katherine Olson, that family members had facing them in 5-by-7-inch frames, which prompted Judge Mary Theisen to say, “Sir, put that down.”
