The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency is calling for an independent inspection of the Waconia Event Center septic system to clarify whether it meets code.
Janet Carlson appeared before Carver County District Court Judge Richard Perkins this morning and agreed to have Carver County assist her and her husband, Lowell Carlson, in replacing the failing septic system on their Camden Township property, according to a Carver County Attorney Press release.
The county and the Carlsons agreed that the county will work to make sure the system gets installed properly, using the already approved design and the contractor that the Carlsons hired, the release stated.

Carver County prosecutors filed a “John Doe” warrant complaint Tuesday against an “unknown male” suspect in a November 2006 Chanhassen home invasion.
The suspect is identified in the complaint by his DNA profile, which was recovered from a water bottle he used during the ordeal, and as “a white male between 25 and 35 years old, approximately 5-feet-10-inches tall and 185 pounds.”
Chaska will pay less for its prosecution contract in 2010.
Carver County Attorney James Keeler appeared before the Chaska City Council Monday night to detail costs for his office’s services over the next year.
Chaska is one of 10 cities in Carver County that contracts with the Carver County Attorney’s Office to prosecute petty misdemeanors, misdemeanors, gross misdemeanors and DWI cases.
A Carver County jury found Chaska teen Brody Bermel (Roehlke) not guilty on all charges in the death of Kirk Anderson.
Bermel, 17, was charged with three counts of murder for his involvement in an alleged altercation on Aug. 6, 2008 in which he reportedly struck Anderson in the head with a steel pipe. Anderson later died at Hennepin County Medical Center. Bermel's attorney argued that Bermel was acting in self defense.
The verdict was returned shortly after 6 p.m. after approximately six hours of deliberation.
The future of 17-year-old Brody Bermel is now in the hands of a jury after testimony wrapped up Wednesday morning.
Bermel was charged with three counts of murder after an Aug. 6, 2008 incident in which he allegedly struck 33-year-old Kirk Anderson, his mother’s fiancé, in the head with a steel pipe resulting in his eventual death.
A Dahlgren Township farmer has been charged with two misdemeanors for illegally discharging large amounts of animal manure into the groundwater in Dahlgren Township, according to a press release from Carver County Attorney Jim Keeler.
The criminal complaint was filed against Dennis Peter Lenzen, 73, of Dahlgren Township.
A former bookkeeper for the Jonathan Association was sentenced to 30 days in jail and five years of probation for felony theft.
In a press release, Carver County attorney Jim Keeler announced the conviction and sentencing of Kimberly Sue Ferrari, 38, of Chaska.
