2004 CHS graduate dies from injuries sustained in accident

A 2004 Chaska High School graduate, Michael Dixon, died on Tuesday, March 23 from injuries sustained in an accident earlier this month.

According to The Dunn County News, Dixon, 24, was a senior majoring in business at the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menominee, Wis. He was set to graduate this spring.

He was seriously injured on March 12 when he was struck by a vehicle driven by fellow Stout student, Isaac W. Storandt, 23, the Dunn County News reported.

He died at Luther Midelfort Medical Center in Eau Claire, Wis., according to his obituary.

Dixon was baptized and confirmed at the Chaska Moravian Church, according to his obituary. Dixon’s parents, Lori and James, now live in McGregor, Minn.

According to his obituary, funeral services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 30 at Grace Lutheran Church near McGregor. Visitation is 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, March 29 at the church, and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., before Tuesday services.

Sorensen-Root-Thompson is handling is funeral arrangements.
