It has been six months since the final stretch of new Highway 212 opened, linking the southwest metro to I-494 and the rest of the Twin Cities.

The nearly 12-mile, $238 million section of freeway between Eden Prairie and Carver was completed in July and has been leaving its mark on the area ever since.

“It’s a natural step,” said Boe, who defeated Sara Machakaire in November to become Chaska’s Ward 2 councilor.
