The Saint Paul Saints played an exhibition game on Saturday, May 8 against the River Valley All-Stars at Athletic Park in downtown Chaska. The Saints won 7-3.
Under sunny skies, hundreds of kids of all ages descended on City Square Park last Saturday for the 58th Annual Chaska American Legion Auxiliary Easter Egg Hunt.
The weather was cool, but that didn’t seem to slow down the anxious egg gatherers. With Easter baskets in tow they scoured the park for pastel colored eggs filled with sweet treats. A few lucky kids turned up golden eggs, entitling them to a special basket full of goodies.

The Matsons of Chanhassen worked with Destiny Homes of Chanhassen to
remodel their kitchen. The challenge of their six-sided home made the
remodel challenging but they love the results. A point of local
trivia--their home was once owned by Kevin Sorbo who starred in the
popular 1990s TV series "Hercules."

Brick mason Patrick Sieben recently began a project to restore up to 225,000 brick on Guardian Angels Catholic church, it's adjoining friary, and garden walls.
The fifth annual Hooked on Books wrapped up on Saturday. Feb. 6 at Chaska High School. The literacy and arts fair includes book readings, author visits, book sales, and crafts.
With the sun shining and the temperatures more tolerable than in previous years, the masses flocked to Firemen’s Lake for the 53rd Annual Chaska Fire Department Fishing Contest.
Firemen spent the morning drilling 1,500 holes around the lake. Most of those holes would later be occupied by the 1,200 in attendance at the two-hour event.
