Thousands lined the streets of Carver to enjoy the annual Steamboat Days parade last Sunday. With September temperatures surging well into the 80s, shade was at a premium, but the heat didn’t deter the oodles of children hungry for the gobs of candy tossed out of the floats. A little rain didn’t stop families from descending upon the Chaska Community Center last Thursday night for the city’s annual Touch A Truck event.
The crowd gathered around excitedly as the Chaska Fire Department brought in one of their engines and pulled out the ladder and bucket. Kids lined up quickly to sneak a peek inside a Ridgeview Ambulance. And plenty oohed and ahhed over all the buttons to be pushed inside a Chaska Police cruiser.
