River City Days 2009 included many different events and musical groups. This video is a sampling.

During River City Days, the Chaska Herald offered people the opportunity to get their photo published in the newspaper for a $2 donation to the Chaska Historical Society.

From Friday night through Saturday, 42 people or groups of people had their photo taken, donating a total of $87 (one $3 donation sans photo).

This year, the Herald is also posting the photos on its Web site.

Restoration work is underway at the 1938 roadside historical marker, located west of Chaska on County Road 61.

MnDOT, working with the State Historical Preservation Office, is in charge of the $170,000 project, which is slated to finish up by late July. On July 17, a trio of stone masons with BMS Masonry and Brick Restoration, was busy replacing deteriorated limestone.

The Jonathan Fourth of July Parade was held last Saturday, with dozens of children and parents donning their patriotic best for the short march from the Jonathan General Store to the Karen House.
