This election season, the Herald invited city council candidates to film a 1-minute video telling voters why they should be elected. Here is Chaska City Council Ward 3 candidate Chris Schulz.

Monday night, Councilor Greg Boe requested that city staff develop a proposal illustrating what city services would be cut in lieu of raising the tax rate.
“It would be helpful to see what changes we’d have to make,” he said.

Strategic planning, city priorities and downtown revitalization were on the agenda Tuesday night as the four candidates for Chaska City Council met in an hour-long forum hosted by the League of Women Voters – Eastern Carver County.
Ward 1 Councilor Gino Businaro and Ward 3 Councilor Chris Schulz were met by challengers Scott Millard and Charles Stech respectively at the sparsely attended event.
The League of Women Voters - Eastern Carver County will hold a forum for contested positions in the city of Chaska at 7 p.m. tonight (Tuesday, Oct. 5) in the Chaska City Hall Council Chambers. The event is free and open to the public.
Among the items included on tonight's Chaska City Council agenda are:
* Public hearing for Chevalle parkland acquisition and development
* Grading permit for Nickel Creek: Phase one
Chaska City Council meetings are held the first, third and fifth Mondays of each month at 7 p.m. at Chaska City Hall, One City Hall Plaza.
