Bradley Allen Hill, 24, of Chaska, was sentenced on Nov. 10 to five years in prison for charges related to methamphetamine possession. “If you deal meth in Carver County, we will seek maximum penalties,” stated Carver County Attorney Jim Keeler, in a press release. “Hill is a significant risk to the public safety. He needed to be taken off the streets – and he was,” said Keeler.
Hill was charged in two incidents which involved the sale or possession of methamphetamine, according to a Carver County Attorney press release.
He was charged with one count of felony second-degree possession of a controlled substance and one count of misdemeanor contempt of court, from an incident occurring on Dec. 19, 2008.
Hill was also charged with four felonies: two counts of fourth-degree sale of a controlled substance and two counts of fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance.
He was also charged with one misdemeanor violation of a domestic abuse no contact order for incidents occurring on July 29, 2009.
In a plea agreement, Hill pled guilty to two felonies – second degree possession of a controlled substance from the Dec. 19, 2008 offense, and fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance from the July 29, 2009 offense. Pursuant to the agreement, Carver County District Court Judge Richard Perkins sentenced Hill to 60 months for the Dec. 19, 2008 crime and 13 months for the July 29, 2009 crimes, the release stated. The sentences will run concurrently.
The plea is the end result of an investigation conducted by the Carver County Sheriff’s Office and the Southwest Metro Drug Task Force.
