The Carver-Scott Humane Society (CSHS) is making area pets into a 2011 calendar model.

Thirteen pets will be chosen with one selected for the cover and one for each month. A collage of the entrants will also be featured in the calendar.

The CSHS calendars will raise money for the homeless animals in the area.To participate, choose a color digital photo of your pet napping in a sunbeam, bounding through the snow, or enjoying one of the daily activities in your home. (No people in the photo.)

E-mail the photo to [email protected] or copy the photo file on a CD and mail to CSHS, P.O. Box 215, Chaska, MN 55318.

The photo should be at least 300 dpi or 2400x3000 pixels in a JPEG format. A six megapixel camera on the highest resolution is best for print quality. Include your pet’s name and a brief description of their favorite things or endearing traits.

The photo contest entry form is available at www.carverscotths.org and should be mailed in with a $15 entry fee. Additional entries are just $10. More details are available on the website or by calling (952) 368-3553 (line 4).
