It’s one of the area’s best kept secrets.
For the average commuter, the simple, rustic “Camp Tanadoona” sign on the west side of Highway 41 in Chanhassen might elicit fleeting curiosity; eventually, though, it just blends into the scenery.
Computer science, rocketry, even robots – there’s no question about it, this isn’t your grandma’s 4-H.
And while members of the Sugar City 4-H in Chaska are markedly different from their early predecessors, this year they will pay homage to those that came before them.
Chaska’s 4-Hers are looking for memories and memorabilia from the club’s 75-year history. They are hoping to put together a scrapbook and a short film with the materials in order to celebrate the group’s past.
For Corrine Olander Hasse, East Union Lutheran Church is like a second home – the kind of home that’s nurtured her family for decades.
In fact, when her granddaughter is married there this fall, she will be the sixth generation of Hasse’s family to be married at the 150-year-old country church.
