There are no bullet holes left as proof that notorious gangster John Dillinger once inhabited Apartment 303 at the Lincoln Court Apartments in St. Paul.

Seventy-five years after his 12-day stint at the corner of Lexington Parkway and Lincoln Avenue, there is only the occasional stop, by local gangster tours, to serve as a reminder that the quiet building in the tree-lined neighborhood was once the site of an infamous shootout between Dillinger and the FBI.

Chaska then knocked off the Peekskill, N.Y. Tides 8-5 on Saturday afternoon. The Cubs then fell 12-4 to the Blaine Fusion on Saturday evening.

The Cubs won the four-team pool play, as Blaine fell 13-3 to Omaha and 4-3 to Peekskill.

Chaska was thumped 11-1 by the Chicago Vee Pak Hawks in the semifinals on Sunday.

Seven Minnesota professional golfers are headed to New Mexico for the PGA Professional National Championship, June 28-July 1, in hopes of qualifying for the 2009 PGA Championship at Hazeltine National Golf Club. The tournament, held at Twin Warriors Golf Club in Santa Ana Pueblo, N.M., serves as a qualifier for the PGA Championship at Hazeltine, set for Aug. 10-16.

Even though they play each other five or six times during the summer season, any Chaska vs. Jordan amateur baseball game is always a big one.

Those wondering what it would be like to be Tiger Woods playing the Hazeltine National Golf Club course need wonder no longer.

The private course in Chaska is one of the new courses featured in the recently released Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 by EA Sports. It will allow players to experience the famed 18th hole where, as Woods declares in the game’s trailer, he hit “probably my best shot ever on the PGA Tour” in 2002.

If Tiger Woods needs a refresher on the Hazeltine National Golf Club course before August's PGA Championship, he won't need to book a ticket to Minnesota to do it.

In fact, he won't have to go much further than his video game system of choice. The recent release of "Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10" features a number of new courses, including Chaska's own Hazeltine.

Golf fans around Minnesota and across the country are getting ready for the PGA Championship in August at Hazeltine National Golf Course in Chaska.

A ceremony to mark the grand opening of the PGA Championship History Exhibit in the Galleria takes place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9.

The ceremony will include an official exhibit ribbon-cutting, led by PGA of America CEO, Joe Steranka; Vice President and General Manager of Gabbert & Beck, Jill Noack; and Edina mayor James B. Hovland.

The Chaska Cubs have won nine of their first 10 amateur baseball games of the season after a 5-1 victory Sunday at Victoria.

Cub righty Matt Lane shut down the Vics, giving up one hit over eight shutout innings.

Chaska scored four runs in the first five innings off Vics starter Chris Thulin.

The Vics broke the shutout with an RBI single by Justin Schemmel in the ninth inning.

Connor Stremke threw three innings of relief for Victoria and Tyler Huss tossed a scoreless ninth inning.

Chaska's Cubs moved up its amateur baseball game a day from the original schedule to face the Minnetonka Millers on Wednesday, May 20.

The Millers were more than ready, clubbing the Cubs 9-0 at Veterans Field.

The Cubs managed just two hits off Miller starter Donny Erdahl over seven innings. Geoff Bray tossed two hitless frames to close it out for Minnetonka.

Minnetonka had 14 hits in the game off Cub pitchers Andy Dauwalter, Pete Ohnsorg, Luke Penovich, Brad Keenan and Ryan Seifert.

Eric Oscarson and Justin Johnson had the hits for the Cubs.
