High school seniors residing within School District 112 boundaries, except Chanhassen, are invited to apply for 2-year and 4-year college scholarships being awarded by the Chaska Rotary Club/Grace Gibson Foundation. Chanhassen residents are eligible for scholarships awarded by the Chanhassen Rotary Club.
These scholarships are open to students in public and private schools. Private schools may be located outside District 112 boundaries, but all applicants must reside within the school district.
This year, the Chaska Rotary/Grace Gibson Foundation is awarding approximately 10 $1,000 scholarships to students who will attend a four-year college and approximately two $500 scholarships to those who will attend a two-year college.
Those interested in applying for a scholarship are asked to fill out an application form and return it by Feb. 26. Selection is based on community and family service, school activities, achievements and leadership experience. In April, selected applicants will have personal interviews with the Chaska Rotary Scholarship Committee. The names of the recipients will be announced at the end of May.
Applications are available for pick-up at Chaska High School, Southwest Christian High School and Holy Family Catholic High School. If a student does not attend one of these schools, call Richard Crawford at (952) 345-6471 for an application.
