A new septic system has been installed on Lowell and Janet Carlson’s property in Camden Township, Carver County, according to a press release from Carver County Attorney Jim Keeler.
The installation and certification of the new septic system comes after a three-year legal battle with the Carlsons, which included repeated court orders and the Carlsons being found in contempt of court.
Carver County Environmental Services issued a Certificate of Compliance on Nov. 25 for the new septic system, which was installed by Al Odenthal, a licensed installer chosen by the Carlsons.
Funds to install the new system have been held in escrow since 2003, when the Carlsons purchased the property. Now that the new system has been installed, issuance of the certificate of compliance will allow release of the funds, the press release stated.
