Forty years ago, Herb and Carol Bloomberg’s “Field of Dreams” was a Chanhassen farm. The Bloombergs wanted to bring musical dinner theatre to the village of Chanhassen. Conventional wisdom said “No one would drive all the way out to Chanhassen for a dinner and a show,” followed by, “Where IS Chanhassen?”
Travel back in time with this marvelously unique and heart-warming show. The spirit of that bygone era, when the world was at war and pop music meant “Strike Up the Band” and “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” is charmingly captured in this nostalgic, holiday show. The harried producer of WOV copes with a drunken crooner, the delivery boy who just wants his big chance, the second banana who dreams of singing a ballad, and the bass-playing military pilot who chooses a fighter plane over Glenn Miller.

In the late 1970s, Argentina's Videla 'junta' carried out a campaign of violence against its population, a "National Reorganization Process" comprised of the illegal arrest, torture, killing or forced disappearance of thousands of people, primarily trade unionists, students and activists.
Set during this turbulent time, Nathan Englander's first novel focuses on a poor Jewish couple, Kaddish and Lillian Pozan whose only son, Pato, becomes one of the approximately 30,000 people that were lost during this time.
