Luverne Bethwars was 87 years young when she passed away early on Thanksgiving day, Nov. 25, 2010 at the Belle Plaine Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine.

Visitation was Sunday, Nov. 28, from 4-8 p.m. at Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, Jordan, and one hour prior to the service on Monday, Nov. 29.

Funeral Service is Monday 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Jordan.

They can thank Obama for their victories. as for Obama and Pelosi all of their reform policies were piecemeal and sell out to major corporate interests and big banks. both major parties including Bush, Jr and Obama has proven my theory. This century America is on the way out as a fist-world nation or a nation that rests of the world looks up to.

Urzua, of New Prague, will promote her platform, “Life is for Living – the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization” throughout 2011. Dave E. Moonen, 63, of Shakopee, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010 at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee.

Mass of Christian Burial is Monday, Nov. 29, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Shakopee. Visitation is Sunday, Nov. 28, from 3-7 p.m., and Monday from 9-10 a.m., all at McNearney Funeral Home, 1220 E. Third Ave., Shakopee. The family prefers memorials.

Man cleared of fraud charge

November 26, 2010 - 6:00am

The Ramsey County Attorney’s Office last week dismissed a fraud charge filed against a 33-year-old Prior Lake man.

On July 2, Matthew Daniel Lind was charged with theft by swindle after prosecutors alleged that he stole more than $22,000 from his former employer, Dakota Mechanical, by filing fraudulent expense reports.

State offers holiday driving tips as winter storms approach

The Minnesota departments of Transportation and the Public Safety encourage motorists to use their winter driving skills for the Thanksgiving holiday travel period, as winter storms move through the state beginning today and continuing through the early hours Thursday.

I would just like to warn anyone thinking of having their book published by Publish America and other publish on demand book publishers. I wrote a book called Snowflakes and Diamonds for Jesus, Poems of Love and faith and wanted to get it published. Not having much money I went with Publish America because they leed you into their scam by saying they will pay you to publish your book. Well I got paid $1 dollar and they published my book.

Tribe to host holiday blood drive

The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community will hold a holiday blood drive on Tuesday, Dec. 7, from noon to 7 p.m. at Dakotah! Sport and Fitness.

The public is invited to participate.

Blood donors are desperately needed. Typically during the holidays blood donations decline while demand increases.
