Congressman John Kline (R-Minn.) honored hundreds of Second District residents, including several Chaska residents, with Congressional Certificates of Special Recognition at a “Star of the North” ceremony on Feb. 26 at the Lakeville Area Arts Center.

Among those honored with Congressional Certificates of Special Recognition were siblings Michael Riesgraf and Brittney Riesgraf, and Stephanie Famelis of Chaska, who helped organize a fundraiser benefit for freshman Abby Kuphal when she was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Kline also honored the employees of Salon Zurich, in Chaska, which donated 56 haircuts for free to “Locks of Love,” which provides hairpieces for need children suffering from medical hair loss.
