If you ever check the Jonathan website and click on amenities you see "services". Under that section it says monthly postcards, annual news letter and Continuous Capital Improvements for neighborhood Amenities. What really bothers me is right next to that it lists the "COMMON AREA PROJECTS AND ASSET REPLACEMENTS". It shows there wasn't any work done since October of 2005.
So, when I hear, "what do I get for my 190.00 per year? Nothing!" you are playing into the board members personal agenda, to dismantle the association. According to the MN Satute 317A "a Board of Directors' fiduciary responsibility is to maintain, protect, and preserve the common areas. Which, as a result, protects your property values. The decisions the board makes on behalf of the association bear directly on the safeguarding of each homeowner's investment."
We all own a share of the "common element"(assets) of the association. Please let the board members know you expect them to live up to their responsibilities and protect you investment.
