Man dies in Watertown motorcycle crash

At 2:51 p.m., Aug. 28, Carver County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a motorcycle crash near Watertown.

The single-vehicle crash, on Highway 25 north of Highway 7, resulted in the death of a 40-year-old New Germany man. His name is being withheld, pending notification of family.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol report, the driver lost control of his Kawasaki in a curve, veering left off the road. The crash ejected the driver, who was dead at the scene.

The road was dry. The driver wasn’t wearing a helmet, according to the State Patrol report.

Ridgeview Ambulance, Watertown Fire/Rescue, the Minnesota State Patrol and the Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office also responded to the accident, which is still under investigation.
