Kara Ann Galuska, 20, of Victoria, died Thursday, July 17, 2008 in Billings, Mont. due to complications from an automobile accident.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, July 23, at 11 a.m. at St. Hubert Catholic Community, 8201 Main Street, Chanhassen, with Father Mike Krenik and Father Steve Ulrick celebrating. Burial was at St. Hubert’s Catholic Cemetery, Chanhassen.
Kara was born Sept. 14, 1987 in Waconia to Ronald and Diane (Furst) Galuska. She is one of three children.
Kara attended elementary school at St. Hubert’s in Chanhassen. She was a 2005 graduate of Chaska High School. Kara loved her job as a server at the Victoria House. She enjoyed participating in athletics her entire life, especially basketball and soccer. Kara had planned on returning to school this coming fall semester.
Survivors include her parents, Ronald and Diane of Victoria; sister, Tiffany; brother, Todd; grandmother, Monica Galuska; aunts and uncles, Linda Furst, Tom (Linda) Furst, Michele Furst, Juliene Furst, Richard (Diana) Galuska and Gerald Galuska.
Funeral arrangements were with the Bertas Funeral Home of Chaska, 952-448-2137.
Jerome C. Dauwalter Jr.
Jerome Dauwalter Jr., 61, of Carver, died Saturday, July 19, 2008 at Auburn Manor Care Center, Chaska.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, July 24, at 10:30 a.m. at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 200 West Third Street, Chaska, with Father William Paron, Father Conran Schneider OFM, and Father Paul Jarvis con-celebrating. Casketbearers will be members of the Carver Fire Department. Burial will be at St. Nicholas Catholic Cemetery, Carver.
Jerome was born Sept. 4, 1946 in Shakopee to Jerome Sr. and Anne (Schneider) Dauwalter, one of 12 children. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Carver, and graduated from Chaska High School. Jerome was former Carver Fire Chief for 13 years, and was a member for 34 years. He had been employed by Dauwalter Plumbing, and also was a master plumber for Klingelhutz Construction. He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Carver. He was very dedicated to the Carver Fire Department and his children.
Jerome was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Anne; infant brother, Bertrand; brother, Roger; sister-in-law, Wendy; nephew, Cory; niece, Rachel.
Survivors include his children, Tim (Jessica) of Minnetonka, Jenny of Carver, Angie of Carver; mother of his children, Janet of Chaska; brothers and sisters, David and Marietta, of Carver, Bruce of Waconia, Janet and Don Romfo of Blaine, Thomas of Carver, Wayne and Sandy of Carver, Dennis and Cindy of Carver, Joan Johnson of Duluth, Dean of Carver, Mark and Aleata of Carver; sister-in-law, Sandy Dauwalter of Chaska, Mary Sexton of Carver; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
