The Chaska City Council approved plans for the Aurora Plaza at its June 30 meeting. Though a portion of the plan involving Ridgeview’s free-standing emergency room was previously approved, additional approval was required for changes to the original concept.
Aurora Plaza, located at the southeast corner of Highway 41 and Hundertmark Road, will now consist of three buildings – the emergency room as well as a 30,000 square-foot retail building and a 5,500 square foot retail building.
The emergency room has been moved from the southeast corner of the site to the southwest corner of the site to take advantage of better visibility along highways 41 and the new 212.
Neighbors of the project continued to express their concerns over the noises associated with the emergency room as well as the traffic.
