The Arizona-based Goldwater Instititute today released a study of poverty rates for all 50 states throughout the 1990s. Minnesota topped the list with an overall reduction in poverty rates of 22.5%. Even though Minnesota entered the 1990s with a signficantly lower than average poverty rate, it was able to see dramatic reduction over the decade.

Here is a link to the interactive map showing the poverty reduction (or, in many cases increase) for the United States: http://www.goldwaterinstitute.org/multimedia/povertymap.aspx [1]

Have a great day!!
