Calling all wanna-be dragon slayers, village idiots and wenches.

The Minnesota Renaissance Festival announces its audition times for the 2008 season. Auditions are being held for musicians, ensembles, street performers, dancers, stage combat performers and actors, according to a Ren Fest press release. 

Participants should be prepared for improve exercises with the entertainment staff. Reserve a time by e-mailing renfestmn@gmail.com [1].The open auditions will be held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, May 24, at Canterbury Inn, 1244 Canterbury, Shakopee.

The Minnesota Renaissance Festival has its thirty-seventh season beginning Saturday Aug. 16 and ends on Sept. 28.

The Festival is open weekends, Labor Day and a special day for schools and seniors on Festival Friday, Sept. 26.

The Festival is open from 9 a.m.–7 p.m., rain or shine. The Festival is located three miles south of Shakopee on Hwy 169.
