Greg Boe announces bid for Chaska City Council

Greg BoeGreg BoeGreg Boe has announced his candidacy for Ward 2 on the Chaska City Council.

Boe is the first person to announce candidacy for the position, currently held by Bob Lindall.

Boe, 48, has served on the Chaska Planning Commission for the past nine years, including two years as chairperson.

“I have greatly enjoyed serving on the planning commission,” Boe stated in a press release. “I would like to continue to serve my community, and that is why I have decided to seek a seat on the Chaska City Council.”

Boe and wife Debbie live at 2287 Clover Field Drive. He has been a Chaska resident for 11 years. They have one son, Greg, Jr. in college, and a third-grader, Jenna. Boe works as a senior community development specialist for Scott County.

“We must be prepared to work hard to preserve the small-town feel and character of Chaska in the midst of continuing growth and development,” Boe said. “Maintaining open and respectful communication between City Hall and our residents and businesses is an important piece of the puzzle. In addition, managing the flow of traffic and maintaining a viable downtown are vital to our continued enjoyment of living in the best small town in Minnesota.”

Besides completing his final term on the Chaska City Planning Commission later this year, Boe is also a member of the SouthWest Transit Commission, the Chaska Lions Club, and the Carver County Planning Commission.
