I can't help but notice the constant barrage of "Made of Honor" trailers and promotions on television of late. I understand how this movie will provide a welcome retreat for the intended demographic that might otherwise be dragged to "Ironman," but come on - this movie has already been made. Remember when it was called "My Best Friend's Wedding"?
Sure, Julia Roberts' character is now played by Patrick Dempsey, but it's the exact same premise: best friend announces engagement and then opposite sex friend realizes they have always loved said person. Ugh.
I hated "My Best Friend's Wedding" and can't say I hold out much higher hopes for this version of it. There is some chance of redemption should the movie end better than the first one (I'm a sap), but overall, this concept is played out.
What do you think?
