The Carver Scott Educational Co-operative has hired Randall Zitterkopf to replace long-time executive director Jim Hinck, who plans to retire Aug. 29.
Zitterkopf was chosen from a list of five finalists by a seven-person panel, made up of co-op board members and member district superintendents, including District 112 school board member Carlos Gallego and superintendent David Jenning.
Zitterkopf is superintendent of the Huron, S.D. school district. He has been a school superintendent in South Dakota for the past 24 years, 17 of which were in Huron.
He is scheduled to begin in Chaska on July 1.
