Friends and family will be holding a spaghetti benefit dinner for the Venske family at the Chaska Community Center [1] Saturday, April 19. The benefit will be from 5-8 p.m. in the Community Room.
Proceeds from the benefit will go toward Tricia, Steven, Abagail and
Nathaniel Venske. Tricia and Steven's son Nathaniel has been diagnosed
with GLUT 1 DS, a disorder that affects the brain. This disease is so
rare that there are only 85 documented case in the world at this time.
Three-month old Nathaniel has already spent 50 days of his young life
in the hospital. He is currently at Children's Hospital in St. Paul.
In addition to the spaghetti dinner, the benefit will also feature a
silent auction and raffle. A Schwann's representative will be onsite
during the benefit offering to donate 20% of all sales made that night.
