It's an East Coast Super Bowl

The Patriots are perfect, while the Packers bit the turf.

Now that the Giants have popped the Pack 23-20 in overtime in the NFC Championship game, it's time for Super Bowl XLII.

Was there any doubt that Tom Brady would lead the Patriots past a Ladanian Tomlinson-less Charger team? I was at the Vikings-Chargers game this year and Philip Rivers was horrible.

By the way, the Vikes also crushed the Giants this season, with the defense running back three errant Eli Manning chucks for touchdowns.

Anybody have an early line on whether Giants coach Tom Coughlin's face will survive the trip to Arizona? With no visible face protection, he was looking savagely frostbit during the game.

It was too bad for the Packers with sentimental darling Brett Favre. But the Cheese have no one to blame but themselves. They got several crucial calls in their favor, but their offense cooled off in the second half, and Favre regressed to his pickoff-happy past.

And you can't give a kicker - no matter how bad he might have missed previously - three chances to win the game.

Bring on 19-doughnut!
