The Chaska Planning Commission will discuss plans for the redevelopment of the northwest corner of highways 41 and 212 at its meeting at Chaska City Hall on Wednesday night (at 7 p.m. in city council chambers).
The Park Board met in a special public meeting Monday night to collect comments on changes to Firemens Park as a result of proposed redevelopment.
At the end of last year, the council sent two plans to various groups for discussion and comment. (See related: Corner plans vex council: Firemen's Park, financial hamper redevelopment [0]) Now groups, including the Historic Preservation Commission and the Chaska Volunteer Fire Department, are now meeting to review the two plans chosen by the council for further review.
The issue is expected to come back to the council at its Jan. 28 meeting.
