Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee recently released this political ad [1].

People have been carping on the ad because it delivers a Christmas message from Huckabee.

I'm confused by the political ad, because it actually criticizes political ads, thus becoming a self-loathing advertisement.

Huckabee states: "Are you about worn out by all the television commercials you've been seeing, mostly about politics? Well, I don't blame you."

I assume, this argument would also apply to the ad itself, which seems counterproductive.
