Chaska resident and Jonathan Association Board of Directors member Maria Awes won two Emmys last month for her work on WCCO [1].

Awes is a producer for WCCO. She was honored by the National Television Academy's Upper Midwest Chapter [2] for her work on two investigative pieces: "Sound the Alarm - Minnesota's Storm Sirens" and "Stepping into Danger."

Awes' husband Andy was also nominated for his editing work on a community service spot for WCCO.
