Chaska has been chosen by Money Magazine as one of the “Best Places to Live” in the United States, according to Chaska Police Department press release, issued this morning.
The ranking won’t be made public until Monday, July 16, according to the release. (In 2006, Eden Prairie was ranked No. 10 by the magazine and in 2005, Chanhassen ranked No. 16.)
A press conference revealing Chaska's ranking will be held at 10 a.m. at City Hall Plaza in downtown Chaska. (If it rains, it will be held in the City Council Chambers.)
“Mayor Gary Van Eyll and other city officials will disclose our ranking, and discuss Money Magazine’s evaluation criteria, e.g. cost of housing, tax rate, safety and security, quality of schools, recreation and arts and population diversity,” the release stated.
