Chaska Herald Editor Mark W. Olson managed to snap some photos of American Idol Season 5 contender Paris Bennett while out and about earlier this week.

Bennett, who grew up in the Twin Cities, appeared at the Mall of America on Tuesday to celebrate the release of her debut CD "Princess P" with an autograph session and a mini concert.   

Olson reported that the acoustics in the rotunda weren't the best and Bennett sounded, as Judge Randy Jackson would say, a little "pitchy" at times.
