The Driver and Vehicle Services (DVS) station located at 418 Pine Street in Chaska will close on April 25 for a remodeling project that is expected to last about six months, according to a Department of Public Safety press release.
Nearby exam stations at Hutchinson, Glencoe, Eagan, Plymouth and Anoka will serve customers who need road tests while the Chaska station is closed. Knowledge (written) exams are also available at the Midtown station in Minneapolis.
DVS recommends making an appointment for a road test. Appointments may be scheduled online at www.mndriveinfo.org or by calling (651) 284-1000. Written tests are available on a walk-in basis up to 45 minutes prior to closing.
To find the exam station nearest you, visit the DVS Web site at www.mndriveinfo.org and select “Office Locations” or call (651) 297-2005.

Back to page top5th Street and Cedar is my favorite student driver spot. Once they complete the 3-point turn on the dead-end of 5th, they come tearing out across Cedar not realizing that the lack of a stop sign is part of their test. Since they're coming from a dead-end street, they have to yield to the people on the through street. Drives me nuts!
