The Chaska Cubs and Shakopee Indians are the hosts of the state amateur baseball tournament this year.
Due to the fates of the Section 3B playoffs, one of those teams will not be playing in the tourney.
Chaska fell 2-1 to Green Isle in the second round of 3B action Sunday evening at Athletic Park.
The game was a battle of aces, with the Cubs' Ryan Seifert going up against the Irish's Mac Zachow.
Jordan and Shakopee also had a close game on Sunday, with the Brewers prevailing 2-1.
The Cubs (30-11) will host Shakopee at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 6 at Athletic Park. The winner moves on to another elimination game on Friday, Aug. 8 against Green Isle or Jordan. The loser ends its season.
