Car crashes into Mayer home

A car crashed into a house in Mayer on Friday morning.The Carver County Sheriff’s Office received the call at 10:55 a.m., May 9, according to a Carver County Sheriff’s Office press release. Deputies responded to the scene along with Mayer Fire Rescue and Ridgeview Ambulance. They found a 2005 Lincoln car had struck a residence at 209 Blue Jay Avenue. The home was vacant at the time of the accident and sustained damage in the area of the front steps. The car sustained significant damage in the accident, the release stated. The driver of the car, Kari Kramer, 47, was transported from the scene by ambulance, the release stated. A 5-year-old girl, also in the vehicle at the time of the crash, did not appear to be injured The Carver County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the crash.
