Parents of eighth-graders living in Eastern Carver County are invited to attend Parent Preview Night at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 10.
Both Chanhassen High and Chaska High will host separate meetings aimed at parents of eighth-graders in their attendance areas:
* Residents of Chaska – Chaska High
* Residents of Chanhassen, Carver, Victoria – Chanhassen High
“We’ve made changes to the high school program to enriches the high school experience,” stated Chanhassen High School Principal Paul McMahan. “We want to give parents a chance to hear about these changes before their son or daughter registers in February.”
“Parents will have the opportunity to meet staff members, hear about the new program, and tour the school,” stated Chaska High School Principal David Brecht.
In addition to parents with 8th graders attending a District 112 school, parents of private school students, home schools and other public schools are welcome, the release stated.
“It’s time to take another look at the District’s high school program,” McMahan said. “I think parents will find that our high schools offer a new approach to learning that serves students very well as they prepare for post-secondary education.”
