![]() Victoria couple wins $100,000 on scratch off ticket
February 27, 2008 - 3:42pm — Mollee Francisco
Lori and Mark Jesberg, of Victoria, won $100,000 with a "Deal or No Deal" scratch off ticket from the Minnesota State Lottery. According to a press release, Lori scratched 22 of the 24 briefcases on the ticket before realizing what she stood to win. “I got down to $10 and $100,000. I thought, ‘I know what it’s going to be,’” she said, expecting to win $10. Jesberg was shocked after revealing the dollar amounts under the remaining briefcases and “it said $10 and left the $100,000!” the press release stated. According to the release, her husband, Mark, was sitting on the recliner in the living room. “I came up and double-checked (the ticket),” he said after his wife yelled, “We just won $100,000!” The Jesbergs claimed the prize at Lottery headquarters in Roseville on Feb. 25. The winning ticket was purchased at Holiday, 444 E. 1st Ave. in Shakopee. "Deal or No Deal" is a $5 scratch game that offers instant cash prizes up to $100,000. Four of ten $100,000 top prizes have yet to be claimed, the release stated.
