![]() Victoria city administrator to resign
April 8, 2008 - 5:53pm — Mark Olson
A special meeting of the Victoria City Council was conducted last night to discuss the resignation of City Administrator Steve Sarvi. Earlier this year Sarvi, an Iraq War veteran, declared his run for the Second District U.S. Congressional seat currently filled by Republican Rep. John Kline. Sarvi is running as a DFL candidate and has garnered a number of endorsements recently - Teamsters Joint Council 32, Teamsters Local 120, and the UAW Minnesota State Community Action Program Council and two members of Minnesota’s Congressional delegation: Rep. Betty McCollum (MN-04) and Rep. Keith Ellison (MN-05). Sarvi already had the endorsement of Rep. Tim Walz (MN-01).
