Looks like Chaska's football team ran into Bloomington Jefferson at the wrong time.
The Jaguars shut out the Hawks in the second half to score a 37-14 Homecoming victory on Friday at Bloomington Stadium.
Chaska trailed 24-14 at the half, with a TD in each of the first two quarters.
Hawk quarterback Mike Geissler passed for the scores to wide receiver Derrick Engel.
Jaguar quarterback Moses Alipate passed for a 53-yard touchdown in the second quarter, and ran for two short TDs. Derrick Anderson gained 135 yards and scored twice for Jefferson.
Jefferson went 0-9 in 2006, was 2-7 last season, and started this year 0-3. But the Jaguars have turned it around, winning their past four games.
The Jaguars are 4-3 on the season, while the Hawks slipped to 1-6 overall.
Chaska will host its final regular-season game Wednesday against Park of Cottage Grove.
In other Lake Conference action Friday:
Wayzata mashed Burnsville 70-0, Eden Prairie doubled up Bloomington Kennedy 42-21, Roseville ran past Apple Valley 24-7, Lakeville South edged Eagan 24-17 in overtime, and Eastview topped Lakeville North 34-21.
