Chaska’s volleyball team has proved over the years that it does not let an opponent get an upper hand.

The same is true of this season.

The Hawks moved to 4-0 on the year with a 25-19, 26-24, 25-14 victory Thursday at Lakeville North.

Chaska went into the match as the top-rated team in Class 3A, with the Panthers pulling in at No. 2.

The Panthers started the season 3-0, and had topped defending champion Shakopee in five games last week.

Chaska opened the Lake Conference schedule on Tuesday with a 25-12, 18-25, 25-18, 25-16 win over Burnsville.

The Blaze began the season with a five-game win over Prior Lake and a 3-1 win over Holy Angels.

The Hawks host Eagan at 7:15 p.m. on Monday night. The Wildcats swept the Hawks early last season, but Chaska came back with a tournament win just before sections at the Chaska
Invitational.
