(Photo by Larry Baier) In sub-zero temperatures, the Chanhassen Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a structure fire at 1802 Colonial Avenue at 6:52 a.m. today. The building, under construction, was fully involved and firefighters immediately called for mutual aid from adjoining communities including Chaska, Victoria and Eden Prairie. Billowing smoke ascending to several hundred feet could be seen for a great distance. There was no report of injuries and the cause is under investigation.
