Hawks take 2nd place at state dance meet - photo slideshow

Chaska's high kick/precision dance team stepped its way into the Class 3A finals with a knockout performance on Saturday afternoon at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. The Hawks danced fourth in the finals rotation,and nearly came away with the top prize. The Hawks finished second to Burnsville in the final standings. Eastview, the Lake Conference champion and two-time defending state champ, finished third. Wayzata was fourth, followed by Eden Prairie and St. Cloud Tech. Maple Grove won the state jazz/funk competition on Friday, followed by Wayzata, Blaine, Mounds View and Eastview.
