The Chaska Cubs amateur baseball team had a Friday tilt with Miesville called off, and added a game to the home-opening festivities.

The Cubs will face Arlington at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Athletic Park, followed by a clash with Henderson at 5 p.m. Chaska was to open the season against Henderson, but weather washed out the game.

Chaska then takes on defending Class A champion Minnetonka at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, and visits LeSueur for a 7:30 p.m. game on Tuesday.

The Cubs then dip into Section 6B play, with games May 23 at Green Isle, May 26 at Jordan, May 29 against Shakopee and May 30 at home against Victoria.

The Cubs had just enough to get past Winthrop on Sunday, scoring a second-inning run for a 1-0 victory.

Matt Lane reached on an error and chugged home from second base on a two-out single by Eric Oscarson for the lone run.

The win followed the Cubs’ 9-2 win over Belle Plaine, back on May 4.
